+ what is intuitive eating?

Intuitive eating is when you are able to make food choices with zero guilt, honor your hunger, respect your fullness, and enjoy the pleasure of eating. It's about building trust with your body so you can stop dieting, and let your body do what it does best: keep you alive and safe!

+ how do I know if I'm ready for intuitive eating?

My number 1 goal is to make intuitive eating accessible to everyone. Intuitive eating allows you to finally break free from all the diet confusion you have ever experienced - you will NEVER have to deal with that stress again! Unless you purposefully stop trying to heal your relationship with food, you cannot fail at intuitive eating.

+ what if i'm in recovery from an eating disorder?

If you are in active recovery, I am happy to be a part of your team! I cannot replace an R.D or licensed therapist, but I am absolutely capable of being your biggest cheerleader and support system throughout your recovery journey and beyond. Working with me will make sure that you're taking care of the many other important aspects of recovery beyond the medical stuff. Our primary goal will be reparing your relationship with food and your body to the point where you feel complete spontaneity around food and peace with your body.

+ what is the cost of the program?

The cost of the program is $95 a session, with a minimum commitment of 4 weekly sessions. This allows us to make steady progress to start, and from there you can schedule sessions as-needed.

+ can i lose weight with intuitive eating?

It makes sense to want to lose weight while practicing intuitive eating. However, weight loss goals and intuitive eating don't necessarily mix. Does that mean you can't desire weight loss or be afraid of weight gain during the intuitive eating process? Absolutely not. I can't promise you what will happen with your weight while healing your relationship with food. What I can promise is that we can hold space for everything that comes up along the way.

+ how is coaching different from therapy?

There are important differences between coaching and therapy. Coaching (our work together) takes a more focused and direct approach. We will discuss your current struggles and blocks to food freedom and body acceptance and collaborate on how to move through those blocks. We may do some emotion work around these things (our bodies are connected to our beautifully emotional selves!), but all our work will remain centered around your relationship with food and your body. My coaching program is set up so I am able to be your personal cheerleader, and someone who can relate to many of the struggles with food and body imge that you may be experiencing. I also love to empower through education, so you have the knowledge and tools to kick diet culture in the ass. As your coach, I cannot diagnose or treat mental or other health conditions. I highly recommend my clients also see a therapist (if it's accessible) if mental health conditions are a concern! It's also so helpful to have support in other realms of life outside of food and body image.

As someone who has tried just about every diet under the sun, I’m here to tell you that feeling good in and about your body is not going to come from any diet, weight loss program, or any sort of restriction. I hold a masters degree in mental health counseling specializing in eating disorders, and am a certified health coach.

My number one goal is to make intuitive eating accessible to anyone and everyone, no matter what your specific story is around food and your body. Food intolerances? You can be an intuitive eater. Not sure how to tune into hunger cues? You can be an intuitive eater too! I know what it’s like to feel totally confused and alone, and I want to be there for ya every step of the way.
